Men's Golf Programs

No matter your skill level or goals, our Calgary golf instructors can help you improve your game and refine your skills.

  • 6 Week Group Lessons - Our year-round classes have six golfers per group, and allow you an opportunity to meet other players of all skill levels.
  • 12 Week Coaching Program - This program is ideal for those with some experience. Coaching groups are directed at skills development in various aspects of the game. Students will learn what and how to practice and how to measure improvement.
  • Practice Club - Keep your game in shape year round with our supervised practice club. Our instructors will be present to keep your practice focused on the right things and help you at each session. 
  • Golf Fitness - Playing golf regularly is a great way to maintain your health an stay in shape. These fitness-focused classes are taught by Calgary's topTPI Certified golf trainers Ryan Kolb and Alex Large.

Group Lessons

If you’ve been playing and haven’t noticed any improvement in your game, it may be time for golf lessons. Maybe you’ve read some tips but haven’t had the motivation to implement them. Maybe you’re not sure what’s wrong. You could even be using the wrong clubs. Don’t let problems with easy solutions discourage you from the game. Golf Performance Canada can help.

Learn to golf with PGA of Canada-certified professionals dedicated not just to teaching you the game but teaching you to excel at it. We teach at two locations in Calgary depending on the season to make year-round lessons possible. Group lessons run for six weeks and include a maximum of six golfers per group. Our curriculum was developed in-house to be consistent regardless of your instructor and so that you won’t have to worry about missing a particular drill or exercise, perfect for all skill levels.

Golf Performance Canada provides an opportunity to meet other players at your skill level through our community, which can make learning more fun. Golf isn’t just a series of motions, it’s a mentality, and both need to be exercised.

Program Details

Golf Coaching

Golf coaching groups are twelve-week programs focused on skill development. Consisting of up to six golfers each, they require some experience with the game or previous lessons. While we provide some technique work, coaching groups are directed at skills development in various aspects of the game. Students learn what to practice, how to practice, and how to measure improvement. You will understand block, random and variable practice and how to use them in each session.

This is true game advancement. The program duration forces a commitment from the student and PGA of Canada-certified professionals produce results. A three-month program is a crucible that forces you to set goals and strive for them, unlike in open-ended lessons.

Your coach will meet with you weekly and work through a step-by-step weekly practice routine. Each week you will challenge different areas of your game with drills and games to help you lower those scores.

Practice Club

We have two practice clubs, one in the winter and one during the summer.  During the winter it is important that you keep swinging a club at least every 30 days to keep your motor patterns functioning at a high level.  During the summer we keep you focused on the areas of the the game that will help you lower your scores and keep your game sharp through the summer.  We will have a PGA of Canada instructor at every session to guide you and help with anything you are struggling with.  There will be two to three areas of focus at each practice session. 

Winter Program Details

  • We meet 2 times per month from November till April
  • Either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm at Riverside Golf Centre
  • Start on November 7th or 8th
  • 13 sessions total over the winter
  • PDF every month regardless of attendance
  • PGA of Canada Instructor at every session
  • Cost: $399

Summer Program Details

  • We meet once per week from May - August
  • Either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm at Elbow Springs Golf Club
  • Start on May 1st or 2nd
  • 18 sessions total through the summer
  • PDF every two weeks regardless of attendance
  • PGA of Canada Instructor at every session
  • Cost: $549

Golf Fitness

Golf is a great way to stay in shape, but it may not be apparent at first. If you play regularly and keep up your practice, golf can be a non-intensive way to help manage your health. Golf Performance Canada is one of Calgary’s few instructors who provide fitness-focused golf and golf-focused fitness.

Not convinced? Here are just some of the benefits:

  • Walking the green covers roughly eight kilometers. You can burn over a thousand calories playing eighteen holes even if you use a golf cart. You would need to spend two hours on the treadmill to compare. 
  • Golf can even lower blood glucose, according to the World Golf Foundation. 
  • Golf is low injury. While injuries do occur, this is usually due to lack of warm-up or improper technique, not anything inherent in the sport. This makes it a great choice for people just beginning to exercise.

All classes are taught by two of Calgary's top TPI certified golf trainers, Ryan Kolb and Alex Large.

  • Saturdays at 9 AM (Starting November 10th)
